Job description

Milky Tea Studios, an award-winning video game development studio based in Liverpool, are looking for a 3D Artist to work closely with designers, programmers, and animators to create 3D art which amplifies gameplay and brings Milky Tea's games to life. 

Their exceptionally talented team work across the UK and the EU, developing memorable gaming experiences using the latest technology for some of world’s biggest brands, platforms, and publishers.

We are looking for someone who has an eagerness to learn and a passion for developing new skills. You will be expected to be a team player and assist your wider team and senior members of staff in achieving project goals.

Your responsibilities…
  • Provide and create art assets for projects
  • Produce high quality assets suitable for production both technically and artistically
  • Keep on top of assigned tasks and track progress
  • Support and help your fellow artists with any technical problem solving
  • Technical and quality control of output on assigned project
  • Ensure assets meet specifications provided by all relevant departments
  • Manage feedback and possible technical challenges on project alongside department heads
  • Liaise with production on your tasks and keep them up to date at all times
  • Interpret and implement the director's feedback and vision
  • Work closely with the production management team to identify process improvements/tools to increase department productivity
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Excellent understanding of game art asset production and creative production processes
  • Excellent 3D modelling, lighting, and texturing skills
  • Good knowledge in 3D art production for games
  • Industry knowledge and experience using Unity game engine
  • Ability to produce concept sketches and design documentation
  • Good understanding of game development processes and interactive projects.
  • Ability to follow instructions and react quickly to feedback, with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Passion for all forms of creative art
  • Self-starter who is willing to take on new responsibilities and is wanting to evolve their skill set
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and ability to always remain professional
