IO Interactive, are searching for an Animation Tech Programmer to join their backbone team as they currently spearhead two exciting game projects, Project 007 and Project Fantasy. In these two projects IO Interactive is gearing up for ground-breaking developments.
Project 007 introduces a fresh James Bond video game with a completely original storyline, while Project Fantasy is an ambitious new IP set to revolutionize the online fantasy RPG genre on console and PC.
In the midst of these dynamic projects, you’ll be contributing to the advancement of the state-of-the-art proprietary game development engine, Glacier.
This role can be worked on a hybrid basis from any of the IO Interactive studios in Brighton, Copenhagen, Malmö, or Barcelona.
Your responsibilities…
Undertake the development of the new system by crafting runtime code and facilitating the transition of gameplay features from the current system
Provide crucial assistance in training and supporting animators and content creators to optimize the new system for efficient realization of their creative visions
Collaborate closely with R&D engineers to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge features, ensuring their effective coexistence with more traditional approaches
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role...
Demonstrated expertise in animation programming gained from AAA games or indie games utilizing innovative animation techniques
Proficiency in C++
Strong foundation in mathematics, especially in linear algebra
Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
