TreesPlease are looking for a Backend Developer to work on a game that is at soft launch stage and are looking to level-up their capabilities as they extend product features and globally scale their first live game. Your primary focus being development of backend solutions but with professional experience and flair for client-side implementation for mobile platforms.
This role would suit an individual who has transitioned from a client to server role or vice versa, or has worked in a small team covering both knowledge areas.

Your responsibilities will include...
- Create and maintain server and client code to realise the product aspirations of our game.
- Contribute towards identifying and maintaining backend infrastructure that is most appropriate to our evolving needs as a growing studio.
- As part of a small team, take shared responsibility for maintaining the quality of our product and contributing towards release management.
- Work closely with a multi-discipline team of engineers, content creators, quality assurance and production to predict dependencies and plan tasks to meet project deliverables.
- Proficient working knowledge of C#.
- Experience of other high level programming languages such as NodeJS, Go, Java or equivalent to develop production-ready services and APIs.
- Experience developing applications with Unity.
- Experience of working with a scalable backend stack such as GCP, MongoDB, Nakama, CockroachDB or equivalents.
- Candidates should possess strong communication skills to work as part of a cross-discipline team.
- Talented with solving problems and possessing a natural curiosity.
- BSc within the field of Computer Science
- Experience with expanding and/or maintaining continuous build systems, such as Jenkins, TeamCity or similar
- Proven experience developing and distributing mobile games/apps
- A genuine interest in casual mobile games
