Job Title: Brand Manager - Social & Community
Location: Hybrid, 2/3 days onsite per week - Hertfordshire (commutable from certain parts of London)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Opportunity
Aardvark Swift is supporting a fast-growing consumer business in their search for a passionate and strategic Brand Manager to lead organic social media and community engagement across a portfolio of Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands. This exciting role offers the chance to shape brand voice and social presence for a collection of pop culture-focused products with global reach and passionate fanbases.
Working at the intersection of social media, brand identity, and community, this role will give you the platform to influence how these brands are perceived and engaged with across all platforms. You’ll champion fan connection and brand resonance, becoming the voice of vibrant online communities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute tailored organic social strategies for multiple D2C brands, each with distinct tones and commercial objectives.

  • Plan monthly content calendars, incorporating campaigns, product launches, evergreen content, and seasonal activity.

  • Oversee daily posting across platforms, ensuring quality, consistency, and relevance.

2. Creative Direction & Content Oversight

  • Collaborate with in-house creatives to direct and refine content for social, ensuring alignment with brand identity and platform best practices.

  • Sign off on visual assets and ensure consistency in tone and style.

  • Maintain and evolve brand playbooks, covering tone of voice and visual guidelines.

3. Data & Performance Analytics

  • Own reporting and analysis of social performance using tools like Sprout Social or native platform analytics.

  • Track and report on key metrics including engagement, reach, sentiment, and follower growth.

  • Use insights to refine strategy, content direction, and audience engagement.

4. Community Engagement

  • Develop and lead community strategies, nurturing fan relationships and encouraging interaction.

  • Represent the brands in social conversations, comments, DMs, and reactive content moments with timely, engaging responses.

  • Highlight and promote user-generated content and community-driven stories.

5. Brand Guardianship

  • Uphold brand tone and guidelines across social and wider digital channels.

  • Conduct quarterly brand audits to ensure messaging and visuals remain aligned and impactful.

  • Provide branding input across marketing collateral including CRM, digital ads, and on-site messaging.


What We’re Looking For (ideal but not essential)

  • 3+ years’ experience in brand or social media management, preferably within consumer, entertainment, or pop culture sectors.

  • Strong understanding of content trends across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, and Facebook.

  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone across brands and channels.

  • Data-driven with experience using analytics to inform strategy.

  • Eye for great creative and confident working with designers and content creators.

  • Passion for pop culture, collectibles, or digital communities is a definite plus.
