Job description

We’re working with legendary studio, YAGER Development, to help find a Build Engineer to join their team. If you have Unreal Engine experience and would be excited to work on a new IP that will leave it’s mark on the landscape of online shooter games, then YAGER’s Build Engineer role could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for!

As a Build Engineer you’ll be working with the company wide Build Engine team, supporting multiple projects, including the new online shooter IP. Your focus will be game-centric build tooling, as well as automation implementations and touching base with the deployment solutions.

Founded in 1999, YAGER have been creating online action games with rich worlds focusing on social emergent gameplay that give players unique moments.

Your responsibilities will be to…
  • Develop and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for consistent releases with minimal downtime for various platforms
  • Ensure a delivery-ready build and binaries for all platforms
  • Ensure a smooth and stable flow within the tooling and pipeline stack
  • Identify and handle all troubleshoot build problems
  • Identify and address any stability, performance, and security risks
  • Develop and introduce tools and applications to enhance developer productivity
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to better understand the objectives of the user stories
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, brainstorming and other initiatives of prototype development and innovation
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 3 or more years’ experience working across PC, mobile, or console platforms
  • 3 or more years’ experience using C++, C#, Python or PowerShell
  • Solid understanding of common CI systems/tools
  • Previously worked with automated build and delivering pipelines using UE4
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Passion for videogames, and a general understanding of the industry and game design principles
