Job description

We are working with Climax Studios as they look for a Graphics Programmer to support the development of exciting visuals for Climax’s games by ensuring code is optimised to the highest level.

Your responsibilities…

  • Take responsibility for graphics development on the project
  • Develop, document, test, and maintain graphical and engine features in collaboration with other members of the team
  • Dedicatedly and methodically improve the quality and the efficiency of the relevant tools, processes, and runtime functionality
  • Troubleshoot all graphics related issues
  • Research and apply relevant new technologies
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Strong C++ skills and an exposure to a wide range of graphical techniques and effects
  • Current generation console experience or experience working with any modern graphics API
  • Experience with Unreal 4/ 5
  • Experience and deep understanding of high level shader languages
  • Proficiency in maths/3D geometry
  • First class management, communication, and scheduling skills
  • Passion for graphics development
  • Vulkan programming experience is a bonus

Climax Studio’s seafront location at Gunwharf Quays overlooks the harbour and is only a short walk from the train station, bars, restaurants, and coffee shops, so you can make plenty of use of the studio discount card for the shops in the local shopping centre!

The studio is big on socialising together and has plenty of in-house clubs and socials, from board games, tennis, football to D&D nights, making lots of opportunities to socialise, including project wrap parties, team and studio events, Christmas and summer parties and some great charity fundraising events.
