Job description
Here at Aardvark Swift, we’re working with a mobile studio who are looking to bring in an IT Manager to play a key role in the continued success and support for the delivery of their highly successful and widely respected mobile games.
For this IT Manager role, you should be well versed in general IT management and operations, including networking and security, and comfortable wearing multiple hats and managing the entire IT function end to end as part of a thriving creative studio of 35 people.
You’ll be using your excellent knowledge of Windows and Mac desktop environments, but you will also have and want to expand your exposure to cloud-based infrastructure with a company that is very much cloud first.
The role will see you highly engaged with the latest trends in IT infrastructure, architecture and security and you’ll be hands-on, managing the day to day whilst also thinking strategically and supporting your colleagues proactively and collaboratively.
Your responsibilities…
Manage and support the studio’s Windows and Mac desktop environments
Manage Windows Server configurations, including Active Directory, DNS, IIS, onsite and Azure backups
Manage Azure cloud-based environment, including virtual infrastructure, SSO configuration, Entra AD and PID facilities
Provide PC hardware setup and diagnostic experience
Manage Microsoft 365 stack, including Office, Teams, Exchange, Defender / Entra AD set up
Manage device assets, including Windows device automation and iOS / Android device management
Monitor and control Networking, Firewall, VPN and multi-WAN management within a UnifiOS environment
Advise and implement cybersecurity and compliance best practice and policies
Provide general software management and troubleshooting support, including Adobe, Slack, Atlassian and Perforce Admin, as well other SAAS used
Manage IT related building security, including CCTV, Access Control
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Cloud based technologies particularly Azure, but also AWS
JIRA, Confluence or similar workflow tracking, reporting and management tools
Asset device management
Perforce or similar version control technologies
Networking, Firewall, VPN management tools
Cybersecurity processes and technologies
Some PowerShell/batch scripting knowledge
Highly adaptable in an SME environment
Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant IT related field
