Job description

Aardvark Swift have teamed up with nDreams, one of the world’s leading VR publishers and developers as they search for a collaborative Lead Creative within their publishing team.

As Lead Creative you will lead the creative development process for marketing assets, both through hands-on execution and mentoring nDreams talented team of creatives.

Your responsibilities…
  • Delivering standout, effective marketing materials through a mix of hands-on development and creative team collaboration
  • Overseeing the creative development process for internally developed marketing assets
  • Running effective ideation and concept development that successfully aligns to the brief, alongside brand, creative and commercial goals
  • Mentoring, leading, and empowering the internal creatives, both directly on projects, and as part of the appraisal and development process
  • Positively and constructively critique internally developed creative assets
  • Working alongside the Brand Managers to define and evolve product brand guidelines
  • Collaborating closely with contractors and outsourcers to ensure externally developed materials align to internal standards
  • Evangelise broad exploration, rapid iteration, and transparent, continual input with both the team and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Creative Manager and Brand Manager to ensure projects are scoped and prioritised in line with deadlines, resource priorities, and commercial impact
  • Feed into externally developed creative, supporting the brand managers and creative agencies to achieve standout brand materials
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 5 or more years professional experience, with multiple years in a Lead position 
  • Hands-on creative experience in a relevant discipline – Graphic Design/Illustration/Key Artist/Marketing Artist
  • Broad marketing/advertising professional experience, including within a video game publisher/developer, or within a creative agency working on games/entertainment/technology or similar
  • Expert in Adobe Suite, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Ability to evaluate creative positively, whilst balancing creative and commercial goals
  • Experience mentoring, leading, and developing creative team members of multiple disciplines and experience levels
  • Experience collaborating with individuals and teams of different backgrounds, seniorities, and viewpoints
  • Ability to lead diverse teams towards challenging, shared goals
  • Comfortable going between hands-on execution and team mentorship and leading
  • An understanding of game engines would be a real plus
