We are supporting Daedalic Entertainment as they look for a Lead Technical 3D Animator to join their team.
The studio are a really passionate team that is well known for adventure game masterpieces including Silence, The Deponia Series, Edna & Harvey, The Dark Eye: Memoria and now the upcoming The Lord of The Rings – Gollum ™ which will be released on PC & Console!
Your responsibilities…
Collaborate with a highly motivated team on the multi-platform title: "The Lord of the Rings: Gollum" (UE4) as well as its follow-up project (UE5)
Optimise the animation and rigging pipeline for animations and cutscenes
Work with state-of-the-art technology to enable the animation team to create high quality and efficient animations
Work closely with programmers and animators to create the best possible in-game cutscene animations
Create and edit mocap animations in-house and in external studios
Identify technical problems and offer appropriate solutions
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Several years of professional experience as a Technical Animator in the industry
First-class understanding of animation technologies such as rigging and skinning
Knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 and 5 animation tools and can create blend spaces and animation blueprints
Previous experience with the recording and processing of motion capture animations
Very good knowledge of Maya, whilst further knowledge of similar 3D software or similar animation tools is a bonus
Structured, independent, and conscientious way of working
Strong command of German or English, both written and spoken
Experience in the field of creature animation is a plus
