Job description

tinyBuild are looking for a Lead Programmer to join the team at their Belgrade studio and work on a new Deadside project from their small in-house studio Bad Pixel.

Deadside is a hardcore multiplayer online FPS project with elements of survival and open world, the game is in early access on Steam and you’ll join the team taking the project forward.

tinyBuild are an international studio, headquartered in Seattle with studios in Europe. They have been developing and publishing AA and mid-core games for PC and consoles for over 11 years and are best known for such hits as Hello Neighbor, Potion Craft, Pathologic 2, SpeedRunners, Graveyard Keeper, and No Time To Explain...

Your responsibilities…
  • Technical leadership of the programming team - assistance in task decomposition, development of the project architecture, conducting code reviews
  • Writing system code and game mechanics in C++
  • Development of the project architecture together with the technical director
  • Profiling, refactoring, and optimizing existing code
  • Maintenance of technical documentation
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 3+ years’ experience in Unreal Engine 4 development
  • 1 or more years’ experience as a UE4, team or tech lead
  • Strong knowledge of C++, Blueprints
  • Excellent knowledge of design patterns and code architecture
  • Strong knowledge of all major UE4 systems, including network replication
  • Ability to decompose tasks, estimate deadlines and plan the development process
  • Ability to adapt solutions to deadlines
  • The ability and desire to create understandable, modular, and "portable" code
  • Effective English language skills
  • Experience with AI would be a plus but not essential
