Aardvark Swift are supporting Torn Banner in the recruitment of a LiveOps Engineer, for which you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks and should expect a variety of issues and challenges to tackle across various areas of their projects.
This role requires excellent communication skills as you will be collaborating closely with team members from other departments. The ideal candidate is a team player, willing to help others identify problems and seek creative solutions.
Your responsibilities…
Be a first line responder to identify, diagnose, and solve server and backend related issues
Assist in the regular deployment of game and backend updates
Monitor and fine tune live game configurations
Support architecture, build systems, and operations of services across multiple platforms
Identify needs and propose solutions to improve the development of processes and pipelines
Maintain regular internal communications and help encourage a positive and ambitious team atmosphere
Be a driving force in the continuous improvement of the live development environment and practices
Work closely with the programming and QA teams to accomplish solutions to blockers
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
3+ years of professional video game experience, with experience operating a AAA live game with regular updates and content releases
Experience diagnosing and solving server-related issues
C++ and JavaScript proficiency
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
High degree of self-motivation and initiative-taking
Predilection and the ability to take on research and self-education

Experience working with Unreal Engine 4/5
Experience with console and/or PC game development
