TT Games, part of the Warner Bros family, and well known as being the creators of the much loved LEGO games franchise, are working with us to find a Tools Programmer to join their Coe Technology team.
As a Tools Programmer at TT Games, you will be a key player in the team that works with all disciplines to help the creation of all the studio’s titles. You’ll collaborate with fellow developers, in Art and Design to enhance current and future games, contributing your expertise to make a lasting impact on gaming experiences by architecting tools and workflows.
Your responsibilities…
Architect and deliver tools and workflows for a wide range of challenges, including procedural content generation and performance analysis
Collaborate across multiple disciplines, addressing tooling requirements for developers
Provide code support to technical artists, ensuring seamless integration of tools into the creative process
Uphold excellent software engineering practices, including maintaining a clean codebase, comprehensive documentation, and auto-testing
Collaborate with team members and support less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Support the team lead and tech production in planning tasks for successful project delivery
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
4 or more years’ experience using C++ and C#
4 or more years’ industry experience creating tools
Knowledgeable in common UI paradigms, with the ability to implement and enhance user interfaces
Proficient in debugging unfamiliar code and optimizing performance and memory usage
Desirable but not essential skills…
Ability to work with other programming languages as needed (e.g., TypeScript, Python)
Familiarity with UX APIs and implementing user interfaces (e.g., Unreal Editor, WPF, Blazor)
Experience with UE4/UE5 (blueprints, editor, plugins), Maya, and Houdini
Experience in database architecture and Docker
Exposure to Agile methodologies
