Rebellion are working with us to bring in a Principal Level Designer to be an integral part of the team working on an exciting co-op strategy shooter title.
As Principal Level Designer you’ll collaborate closely with Artists, Narrative, and other disciplines to develop and iterate level designs, crafting immersive gameplay scenarios in line with the game's core mechanics and creative vision.
Your responsibilities include…
Identify and proactively address upcoming issues during production
Playtest levels regularly and provide constructive feedback to team members
Integrate content produced by other disciplines into the game engine
Create guides and tutorials for training and reference materials
Author specifications for improvements and new features
Investigate and provide feedback on pipelines from a Designer's perspective
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Expertise in creating game design documents and prototype specifications
Deep knowledge of multiplayer maps
Professional experience as a Principal or Senior Level Designer on at least one published PC/console game from concept to finish
Mastery of the video game development process, including working efficiently within time constraints and appropriate prototyping/iteration
In-depth understanding of production pipelines
Proactive in ensuring game design aligns with the target audience
Skilful in mentoring individuals and teams to achieve specific outcomes and problem-solving
