We’re working with Konami as they look to recruit a Public Relations Lead for their Windsor based studio who are responsible for some of the most treasured IPs and products throughout the video game and toy industries.
As the Public Relations Lead, you will support the Communications Manager with communication efforts to promote and raise awareness of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand and Yu-Gi-Oh! physical and digital card game products with online and print media in the EMEA region.

Your responsibilities…
Assisting with the creation, development and execution of PR activations for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and Yu-Gi-Oh! digital titles
Developing existing and new relationships with both online and print media contacts, across consumer, industry and other publications
Writing and management of press releases for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Division, as well as other relevant promotional copy
Coordinating with various PR agencies on coverage opportunities, including press release distribution and regional PR activations
Coordinating with regional and global stakeholders on EMEA PR activity
Creating and analysing reports for PR activations including coverage reporting, utilising media monitoring tools and interpreting results
Creating and analysing reports focused on wider industry PR trends, including key competitor and market leader analysis
Coordinating PR activity at public and private events (regional and global) for Yu-Gi-Oh! card game products, including event attendance and securing and managing media attendance
Assist with product access and distribution for media
Overseeing the maintenance and regular internal distribution of central trackers for all of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Division’s EMEA PR activity
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Experience of managing key beats/campaigns
Experienced in and comfortable with liaising with third parties/stakeholders
Experienced in forming close working relationships with external PR agencies
Comfortable with flash reporting for senior management
Familiar with the games industry and the associated press/media
Passion for gaming and working in the games industry
Enthusiasm for media relations and communications
Up-to-date with the latest industry trends across gaming and PR
Excellent command of the English language, particularly written
Attention to detail, including strong proofreading skills
Ability to consistently adhere to messaging and tone of voice
Strong organisational skills and time management
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and independently as and when needed
Creative skills, including an eye for how to stand out from the crowd
Knowledge of Yu-Gi-Oh!m, similar card games, and Japanese culture in general is beneficial but not required
