Job description
We’re looking for a Technical Lead to join Splash Damage and take on responsibility for leading and overseeing the Engineering team in the day to day development of Project: ASTRID, their new open world survival game.
You’ll collaborate with Production and the Technical Leadership team to establish and maintain the project’s technical direction and act as the main technical point of contact for the project and be responsible for all technical aspects of the game.
Splash are well-known for developing genre-leading AAA games with franchises like Gears of War, Halo, and Doom, and you’ll play a key role in adding Project: ASTRID to their list of successes.

Your responsibilities will also include…
- Identify and remove risks and blockers to the game’s development
- Establish and maintain the technical direction of the game
- Coordinate technical planning and task scheduling with production
- Set best practices within your team as well as nurturing their professional growth
- Experienced in overseeing a large Engineering team on a full development cycle of a shipped game
- Proficient in C++ and Unreal 4/5
- Experience developing and maintaining roadmaps and technical plans
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with waterfall and/or agile production methodologies
- Development experience with real-time networked multiplayer games
- Resource planning and recruitment experience
- 4 day working week
