Job description

Aardvark Swift are working with CI Games to find a Technical Producer to drive and coordinate production processes for the studio’s Tech Department.

The Tech Department encompasses the Engine, DevOps, Gameplay, and AI teams. Together with the Technical Director and team leads, you will coordinate tasking and ensure development is running smoothly.

As the Technical Producer, your responsibilities will be…
  • Facilitating communication within the department and to the wider studio
  • Building & maintaining processes that allow the team to deliver the highest quality
  • Ensuring dev teams are following the established production processes
  • Analysing and improving production processes
  • Assist with the project technical direction and vision
  • Collaborate with the Executive Producer on initiatives to improve pipelines and long-term plans
  • Collaborate with other producers and mentor associate producers
  • Curate and maintain game documentation
  • Champion cross-departmental efforts
  • Take the initiative to identify problems, establish facts, and propose solutions
  • Gather estimates and work with developers to evaluate feature complexity and risk
  • Get to know your team: pace, velocity, progress, ownership
  • Participate in the interview process for the tech team
  • Participate in employees’ performance review process

On a daily basis your assignments can vary to include running stand-up or cross-functional meetings, coordination with QA to plan and schedule testing, run bug triage, identify and solve critical issues, follow up on solutions, and ensure stable builds.

In addition, your focus will be ensuring the technical excellence of CI’s products; validating target features, staying informed of build statuses, creating release documentation and materials, coordination with developers and direction to ensure a smooth development and building process.

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role...
  • 6+ years of game development experience
  • Ease with technical subjects
  • A good sense of perspective - able to switch between "details" and "big picture" as needed
  • Experience of managing conflict
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Proven experience with project management
  • Experience working on a shipped title (ideally from start to finish)
  • Experience of working with JIRA and Agile software development
  • Proficient verbal and written English skills
  • Capable of running a team in a fully remote environment
