Job description

Aardvark Swift has joined forces with the phenomenal studio Red Kite Games to find their next Unreal Engine Developer. This studio specialises in AAA development mainly for PC and Console, with a huge portfolio of varying genres. 
  
In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to game engine development and maintenance along with a wide variety of gameplay features, in collaboration with our multi-disciplined development teams.
 
Your knowledge and expertise will also be invaluable in supporting projects across a multitude of platforms, genres and game areas.

Your responsibilities...
  • Work on a wide variety of projects and tasks, contributing to the development of engine and gameplay systems within UE
  • Follow best practices, development processes, documentation and coding standards
  • Mentor less experienced people, sharing UE knowledge and best practices with the team
  • Assist in planning your work and the work of others
  • Want to work in-studio alongside a very social and close-knit team
  • Actively be on the forefront of upcoming UE features and tech and how we may utilise them across the studio
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Shipped multiple UE titles with at least one AAA game in a key position
  • Excellent C++ programming skills
  • Excellent math and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of profiling tools (e.g. PIX, VTune, etc.)
  • A passion for games, game engine technology and UE
Bonus points if you have...
  • Prior console development experience
  • Adoption of efficient development methodologies (e.g. continuous integration, automated testing, tools pipelines)
