Job description

French developer NACON is working with us to find a Community Manager to create and action their social media and community communication strategy as part of the wider marketing plan.

You’ll be responsible for building communication plans, content creation, and working within the wider Marketing and Production teams, where you will use your knowledge of social platforms, content, gamers and the wider gaming market to contribute to NACON’s marketing strategy.

You can expect to take projects from pre-release to post-launch, championing player feedback throughout as you establish, grow and foster a community of players for your assigned titles.

NACON has built over 40 years of experience, gathering the best of entertainment for gamers all over the world. Whether they play on console or PC, with keyboards or pads, are fans of RPG, combat, racing or action-adventure games, NACON has something for every gamer as they develop games and accessories for players across the globe.

Your responsibilities…
  • Contribute to the overall marketing plan by creating social media and community communication strategies
  • Build and foster a community of players on social platforms via content creation, direct interaction, and engagement-focused campaigns
  • Create content around your projects, ranging from blog articles, images, video, guides etc in conjunction with the wider team to take your ideas from planning to execution
  • Manage the social media profiles and calendars linked to your game projects for English-speaking communities
  • Follow the production process of games, collaborating with Producers to adapt communications accordingly
  • Manage partner platforms to ensure consistent community communications on Steam, PlayStation Xbox and other relevant platforms
  • Collect and share community feedback and make improvement recommendations to the publishing/development teams
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on communication strategies
  • Participate in the development and improvement of the publisher’s digital communication via global initiatives
  • Work with the Influencer Management team in outlining talent that could be a good fit for your game projects
  • Assist the Marketing team with their marketing strategy and as well as discussions linked to new concept sourcing or potential games to distribute
  • Support the Marketing Manager with frequent reporting on communication activities in progress and on the evolution of the associated social communities
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 3 or more years of either community management, social media, brand communications in the games industry
  • Experience creating social media and community communication strategies
  • Demonstrable experience of community building and social media management
  • Experience of managing social calendars for games/projects with English-speaking communities
  • Knowledgeable about the games industry, and how different social platforms contribute to business objectives
  • Strong knowledge surrounding gaming communities
  • Writing and editorial skills
  • Effective project management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Strong English language skills both written and spoken

  • Experience with photo/video editing
