We are supporting Supermassive Games as they search for a talented Junior Technical Artist to play a key role in the studio.
As a Junior Technical Artist, you will assist in the creation of high quality animation rigs and deformation for characters, creatures and props, as well as working closely with the art and animation teams to improve the quality and efficiency of the content workflow.
Your responsibilities…
Act as the bridge across both technical and creative disciplines
Work with Senior Technical Artists to create tools and scripts which increase productivity of the animation team and other content creators
Debug problems in engine and provide solutions
Foresee potential issues and communicate effectively to department leads
Critique assets on an ongoing basis to drive continual improvement and ensure quality across the game is within defined budgets
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Portfolio/Showreel video link showcasing rigging projects
Understanding of rigging pipelines and ability to provide solutions to complex deformation models
Experience in creating advanced custom rigs
Knowledge of art authoring packages and transitioning data to engine

Understanding of Maya scripting languages
Working experience on game projects
Previous experience with game engines like Unity3D and Unreal Engine
Additional knowledge of Python, Maya API, Python QT, Motionbuilder, and Anatomy
