Job description

Aardvark Swift is recruiting for a senior Sales Insights Manager with a leading publisher of licensed children's games. who work with global family favourite franchises to bring their stories and characters to life, across multiple platforms and flagship titles.
This is an exciting time to join, with games at various stages of development, they are expanding their Sales team to support the delivery of multiple games to market. New joiners will get to hit the ground running during a busy period for our well-established business.
This Role
This role will rebuild the sales analytics function from the ground up. The Senior Sales Insights Manager will lead the development of actionable insights into game performance, industry trends, and promotional effectiveness. They will work cross-functionally to drive data-informed decision-making and elevate the impact of sales analytics within the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of sales analytics processes and tools.
  • Set the vision for how data is collected, analysed, and presented across the business.
  • Ensure alignment between sales, marketing, and finance functions by providing cohesive and actionable insights.
Data Analysis and Insights:
  • Own and refine all sales reporting processes, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Deliver actionable insights into game sell-in, sell-through, and lifecycle performance by leveraging internal data and external industry sources (e.g., NPD, GSD, NewZoo etc).
  • Analyse trade marketing performance pre- and post-launch to determine effectiveness and ROI.
  • Identify and report on key industry trends and their implications for the business.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Present sales insights and updates to senior stakeholders and key teams across the business.
  • Act as a bridge between the Commercial Analyst and other departments, ensuring accurate and timely data is shared across teams.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to manage promotions, markdowns, and the commercial lifecycle of games.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Analyst to ensure a cohesive approach to data and insights across sales and marketing efforts.
Team Management
  • Supervise and support the part-time Commercial Analyst.
  • Ensure deliverables from the Commercial Analyst meet the needs of the business.

Skills and Requirements:
Experience: 5+ years in sales analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably within the video game or entertainment industry.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, BI tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge: Familiarity with industry data sources like NPD, GSD is a strong plus.
