Job description

Maltese studio, Dorado Games are looking to bring in a Marketing Artist to join their Marketing team.

As a Marketing Artist, you will play a pivotal role in bringing their free-to-play (F2P) mobile and desktop games, including CONFLICT OF NATIONS: WORLD WAR 3, to life through compelling visual content.

Collaborating closely with the Marketing and Production teams, you will develop innovative static and animated artworks that bridge the gap between their games and potential players. Your creative outputs will be instrumental in supporting acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts across various platforms, enhancing the visibility and appeal of their titles to a diverse audience.

In this dynamic position, you will harness your artistic talents to create a wide array of marketing materials tailored to promote their games effectively. This includes app store visuals, promotional videos, social media content, and more, each designed to captivate and engage.

By keeping a finger on the pulse of the latest trends in graphic design, animation, and game marketing, you will ensure that the visual marketing strategies remain cutting-edge, driving the success of campaigns and fostering a strong connection with the audience.

Your contribution will be crucial in crafting visual stories that resonate with target players, using your deep understanding of branding, digital marketing, and animation.

You’ll analyse market trends and player feedback, adapting strategies for maximum impact. Your creativity will drive the organization of events and promotions, ensuring alignment with the game’s branding. You’ll also be able to use your creative vision and analytical prowess to ensure the marketing resonates with players while staying at the industry’s forefront.

Your responsibilities…
  • Design and produce captivating video animations and static artworks that align with marketing goals and campaign themes for F2P mobile and desktop games
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to conceptualise and execute visual content that supports player acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies
  • Create a wide range of marketing materials, including but not limited to app store visuals, promotional banners, social media assets, and email campaign graphics
  • Ensure all visual content is on-brand, resonates with our target audience, and is optimised for performance across various platforms and devices
  • Manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines while keeping high-quality standards
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in game marketing, graphic design, and animation to continually enhance the effectiveness of our marketing visuals
  • Provide creative input and direction for marketing campaigns, working in tandem with other creative team members / outsourced partners to produce a coherent and appealing visual narrative
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • Proven experience in graphic design and animation, preferably within the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of digital artworks and animations.
  • Proficiency in leading design and animation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Understanding of app store optimization (ASO) visual requirements
  • Creative flair and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to translate marketing aims into compelling visual story
  • Strong understanding of branding, marketing, and promotional principles, particularly within the context of F2P mobile and desktop gaming.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of current social media and digital marketing trends, and how to optimise visual content for different channels and audiences
