XR Games are looking to bring onboard a Marketing Manager to support their push to become the best developer of VR titles in the world.
As the Marketing Manager you will play a pivotal role in how XR market their studio to players, future employees, investors, and collaborators as you showcase XR Games and their games to the world.
You will be responsible for writing original articles, posts, editorials, and press releases to promote XR Games as a brand and employer and promote XR’s games through compelling copy. You will also handle shooting and editing video content for studio promotional footage, promotion of games, coverage of events and educational content for XR Futures.
Your responsibilities will also include…
Managing the day-to-day running of social channels, working with the Head of Marketing to create exciting posts that stay on trend with the wider games industry
Leading on all community communications in places like Discord and Reddit
Contributing to social media calendars, ensuring they are always up to date, planning for larger content drops and filling quieter periods with exciting projects
Graphic design and video editing using Adobe suite of tools such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc
Carry out industry research to generate content ideas
Analysing metrics and generating insights for sales reports and other documentation
Attend and cover industry events such as Gamescom, Develop: Brighton
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Proven ability to write in several different formats for different audiences
Demonstrable experience of planning, producing, and editing video content for a variety of purposes, formats, and audiences
Skilled in the Adobe suite of products, Premier Pro, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Experienced with Wix or similar CMS platforms
Experienced in use of analytics dashboards
Comfortable using the Google suite
Hybrid working at XR Games is standard, and XR will provide financially assistance should you need to relocate to facilitate hybrid working.
XR Games are a multi award-winning game development studio that specialises in immersive VR games. The studio has a history of full-scale development from concept through to submission, working with partners such as Sony Pictures VR, Meta, and Rovio Entertainment.
Since 2020 the team has grown from 20 full-time members to almost 100 by the close of 2022, due to the success and critical acclaim of previous projects such as Zombieland: Headshot Fever and The Angry Birds Movie 2 VR: Under Pressure. Throughout 2023 and 2024 the team will be working on multiple major projects with recognisable IPs and licences as they continue to grow.
