As a Mobile Game Product Owner, you will utilise your expertise in online gambling regulations, player preferences, and industry trends to drive the development and launch of high-quality mobile games that meet both regulatory requirements and player expectations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, developers, artists, and marketers, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality mobile games that meet player expectations and drive business growth.
- Develop a compelling product vision and strategy for Winkel's mobile game titles
- Identify target audience and market trends to inform game design and feature development
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand industry benchmarks and ensure our games stand out in the market
- Define and prioritise features, functionalities, and content for mobile game projects
- Collaborate with game designers and development teams to create detailed product specifications
- Manage the product backlog, ensuring that it is properly prioritised, refined, and communicated to the development team
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks or roadblocks that may impact timelines or deliverables.
- Champion the player's perspective, advocating for an exceptional player experience throughout the development cycle
- Gather and analyse user feedback, conduct playtests, and leverage data insights to drive game improvements and feature enhancements
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies to acquire, engage, and retain players
- Monitor key performance metrics, such as user retention, conversion rates, and monetisation, and propose strategies to optimise game performance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, developers, artists, marketers, and QA testers, to ensure effective collaboration and alignment
- Facilitate communication and coordination between teams, ensuring that everyone understands the product vision, goals, and priorities
- Foster a collaborative and agile development environment, promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
- Previous experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in the games industry
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience working in online gambling
- In-depth knowledge of the mobile gaming market, trends, and player preferences
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and prioritise multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams
- Proven track record showcasing the ability to leverage analytics and user feedback to inform decision-making
- Passion for mobile games and a deep understanding of game mechanics, user experience, and monetisation strategies
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
