Smilegate Barcelona are on the lookout for a Senior Game Designer to work on their huge new AAA open world game!
You will be a key member of the design team, taking ownership of core gameplay systems, and working closely with other disciplines to implement them to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities…
Help set a high quality-bar through hands-on ownership of open world content from conception to the final stages of polish
Design features aligned with the creative and game directions including 3C, game ingredients, game systems, game modes, enemy designs, AI behaviours
Adapt to technical and production constraints, reworking your design as and when needed
Collaborating with colleagues across disciplines to align on expectations and execution
Participate in finding solutions to fix buggy features
Create an environment which allows for open dialogue and encourages new creative ideas
Create and maintain design documentation that will guide interdependent teams
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Experience with modern AAA open world games and their sandbox systems and mechanics
One or more shipped title in a design role (from pre-production to release
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
