We are supporting Uplift Games as they look for a talented Technical Animator to join their small team with a huge community.
As a Technical Animator at the studio, you will show strong skills with creating 3D/2D animations, rigging and in-game animation implementation, and asset setup, combined with a strong background of game development. You’ll be expected to work closely with other team members and departments, ensuring ideas are professionally presented and realized in-game to contribute to fulfilling Uplift's mission of “Creating Future Nostalgia” for millions of players.
Your responsibilities…
Work with the social, art, and animation managers to get fully behind the artistic vision of the project
Follow animation pipelines, workflows, and performance budgets to achieve the projects desired visuals with minimal feedback
Assist with the creation of skeletal assets and implementation in engine
Create and/or modify in-game 2D/3D animations within a given timeframe for rendering or exporting them into the game pipeline
Verify the quality of animations in engine and make improvements where necessary to fit technical constraints and artistic direction
Solve problems within your area of expertise on your assigned projects
Understand the Roblox pipeline and adjust to the ever-changing landscape of the game engine and its pipeline
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
Strong knowledge of the video game development process and production pipelines
Ability to work effectively with different animation styles
Strong knowledge of rigging in 3D/2D
Good background of issue debugging and general problem solving
Skills in animation software packages such as Maya, 3Ds Max, or Blender
Experience working with custom game engines, with an understanding of platform limitations, memory, and performance
Strong understanding of animation fundamentals
Passion for video games, art, and commitment to personal development
Creative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
Good communication skills and a teamwork-oriented attitude
