Job description

We’re working with an established independent Canadian studio to find a Senior Producer to join their team of 140 developers and manage all aspects of development of the studio’s upcoming console game.

The studio is expanding into serving as a publisher supporting mods and have just released a new title into early access. The studio and their team is built on passion, unified spirit, and continuing efforts to break the mould. They are aiming to become a leader in creating large-scale multiplayer games as well as supplying others with the ability to do the same.

You will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution of the studio’s console game project from concept to release. You will be responsible for overseeing the development process, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Collaboration with internal and external cross-functional teams, effective project management, and a deep understanding of the gaming industry and game consoles are key components of this role. If you are passionate about making great games and love being a team player, we are looking for you!

Your responsibilities…
  • Collaborate on the development of the game’s vision and effectively communicate that vision to management and the wider team
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and within budget
  • Identify risks early to mitigate them and communicate issues and proposed solutions clearly
  • Foster a collaborative and creative working environment
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, Programming, Art, and QA, to ensure alignment with project goals and vision
  • Identifies dependencies and work through requirements across cross functional teams
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including senior management and publishers
  • Partner with all stakeholders both internal and external to shepherd the game through first party certification processes
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to ensure a successful launch and post-launch strategy
  • Manage dependencies and ensure that teams have the necessary tools and support to achieve their goals
  • Evaluates features and prioritises the backlog to ensure work is aligned with product strategy
The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role…
  • 5 or more years of experience in game production 
  • Shipped one or more console games
  • Familiarity with console development processes and requirements
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and collaboration
  • Comfortable making critical decisions under pressure
  • Work well within a creative fast paced team
  • A genuine passion for video games and a deep understanding of industry trends
