Aardvark Swift are an award-winning recruitment agency with over 30 years of expertise in recruitment for the Video Games, Toys, and Licensing industries. To accommodate our ambitious and achievable growth plans, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and play a key role in supporting the growth and development in the business.

You’ll source top talent for all areas of the business, ensuring recruitment activity aligns to the company hiring plan. We’ll be doubling our head count over the next 2 years so it’s an exciting time to join the HR team. You’ll be responsible for employer branding and will be an advocate for the business, encouraging applications from across the region.

You’ll manage the recruitment for all government schemes such as the Kick Starter initiative, facilitate recruitment for apprentices and manage the work experience placements with local universities and colleges.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same! The position would suit either an agency recruiter who loves recruitment but wants to move away from sales or an internal recruiter who is process driven and can think outside of the box to generate candidates. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can follow a set process and has good administration skills. You will be a great communicator and have fantastic people skills.

Day-to-day you will be ….
  • Managing and reviewing incoming applications
  • Maintaining candidate records on the CRM system and ensuring all candidates details are up to date
  • Tele-screening candidates to determine if they are the right fit for the role and the business
  • Organising and confirming interviews and feeding back to successful and rejected candidates
  • Writing offer letters and completing employee references
  • Managing relationships with candidates who may be right for ASR in the future
  • Reporting to the SMT on the status of recruitment activities
  • Build a valuable LinkedIn network of local recruiters to develop a pool of prospective candidates
  • Manage a social media presence to help build your personal brand and our Employer Brand to attract new candidates
  • Working with L&D and HR to support the onboarding process.
  • Working towards weekly action points and roadmaps
  • Remaining GDPR compliant always in line with internal and governmental guidelines

For this role you will need…
  • A minimum of 1 years + experience in internal recruitment or talent sourcing role
  • Good commercial awareness with a desire to learn how the business works and how the various departments are aligned and work together
  • Great organisational skills with the confidence to plan your day to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
  • A willingness to offer support for your peers and get involved in other business areas as the internal workload demands
  • A genuine desire to help people develop – a natural coaching ability
  • Excellent communication skills and feel confident when speaking with your candidates and the team
  • Influencing skills which allow you to explain your decision on candidates you would like to progress through the recruitment process
  • Adaptability with good problem solve skills and creative thinking to allow you to respond quickly to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, trends, strategies, and other processes
  • Resilience and show strength of character with the capacity to recover quickly from setbacks
