Job description

We’re working with Torn Banner Studios as they look for an experienced Business Development Director to join their fast-growing studio based in Toronto and be the leading force and owner of strategic partnerships, including key global distribution partnerships.

Torn Banner recently launched Chivalry 2, the sequel to their multi-million copy selling original, the independent studio is a tight-knit group of around sixty developers, and they love creating innovative experiences that focus on challenge and fun!

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Providing thought leadership and educate various internal stakeholders with customer trends and identify investment opportunities for growth
  • Own KPIs, Business Reviews, P&L Management, Quarterly revenue growth objectives
  • Pitch, onboard and scale new media properties
  • Driving special deal terms and negotiations with publishers to optimize collaboration
  • Driving adoption of products for publishers, including tools to implement effective integrations, reporting tools, product feeds etc.
  • Partnering with the executive team to support strategic businesses plans for the organization
  • Managing key relationships with partner platforms
  • Liaison for government grants and partnerships


The skills and experience you will bring to the role…

  • Highly analytical and data-driven with a bias toward data-based decision making
  • Be willing to drive new initiatives and operate with limited guidance
  • Be commercially savvy and have excellent business judgment
  • Bring operational rigor, holding your program stakeholders to the highest of standards
  • Have strong people skills and be able to influence remote teams, both technical and non-technical
  • Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements
  • Expert at identifying and executing successful partnership deals and large-scale marketing deals
