Outplay Entertainment are currently on the lookout for a Senior Unity Engineer to join a brand new team, on a brand new project based on some very well-known IP. Founded in 2010, Outplay Entertainment are the largest independent mobile developer in the UK.
To date, the studio's games have received over 160 million downloads, have been featured multiple times as Apple's Editors' Choice, won TIGA awards, and received a BAFTA nomination. Their portfolio is comprised of awesome games with high quality visuals that are casual yet engaging, such as Gordon Ramsay’s Chef Blast and Castle Creeps.
As a Senior Unity Engineer, you will be a key member of the department responsible for one or more major aspects of the project's code base and help establish world-class code for your project/team and the company. This will also entail taking ownership over the delivery of a major feature or sub-system within your project, often overseeing an Engineer and/or Junior Software Engineer to complete its delivery.
Your role and responsibilities will include...
Code creation and updating the pipeline documentation
Directly guiding mid-level and Junior Engineers in code production, best practices and direction as well as work behaviours, helping them to improve their skills and confidence
Participating in the engineer hiring process
Content creation and reviewing this in the build
Enhancing the code community by knowledge sharing at Outplay via Academy workshops etc
Nurturing the culture and morale of the code team

Senior level expertise in C# and Unity
3+ years’ professional development creating games or applications for mobile
A commitment to quality code and knowledge of best practice
